Judge postpones assault case
A judge postponed until Aug. 1 a hearing in a felony assault case involving two NFL players and two other men accused of severely beating a man at a Las Vegas nightclub the weekend of the Pro Bowl.
Attorneys for Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and two other defendants have asked for more time to review evidence in the case.

The lawsuit seeks $29.5 million in compensatory damages and $1 million in punitive damages. ... Testimony has begun in the trial of five men in Cape Town charged with murder in the shooting death of South Africa national soccer team captain Senzo Meyiwa eight years ago . ...
