Lakers part ways with trainer Seto

Judy Seto, a longtime presence within the Lakers training staff, is no longer with the team after her contract expired, sources with knowledge told The Times.

Seto had been the team’s director of sports performanc­e since 2019. Before that, she served as the Lakers’ head physical therapist between 2011 and 2016. She worked closely with Kobe Bryant, with the Hall of Famer calling her work “indispensa­ble.”

Keyon Dooling, a former vice president of the National Basketball Players Assn., was arrested and added to a criminal case in which 18 former NBA players were charged with illegally pocketing millions of dollars by

defrauding the league’s health and welfare benefit plan.

The rewritten indictment added Dooling to the case first brought in October, when federal officials said a number of former NBA players combined to collect about $2.5 million from the benefit plan. Dooling, a current assistant coach with the Utah Jazz, played his first four seasons in the NBA with the Clippers.

The Jacksonvil­le Jaguars agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman Cam Robinson on a three-year extension worth just under $54 million, according to a person familiar with the negotiatio­ns . ... The Washington Commanders picked up the fifth-year contract option on edge rusher Montez Sweat, a move that keeps a cornerston­e of their defense under contract through the 2023 season . ... The Tampa Bay Buccaneers picked up the fifth-year contract option on Pro Bowl linebacker Devin White . ... The Tennessee Titans picked up the fifth-year option on defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons . ... Peyton Manning set up a scholarshi­p at Georgia Tech honoring former Denver Broncos teammate Demaryius Thomas, who played at the school. Thomas died in December from an apparent seizure at 33.

The Nashville Predators will be without goaltender Juuse Saros for the final two games of the regular season because of an injured left leg. ... Pittsburgh Penguins CEO David Morehouse stepped down, ending a 16-year run with the franchise that included three Stanley Cup titles. No reason was announced.

The United States will play 13th-ranked Uruguay in a June 5 exhibition at Kansas City, Kansas, completing the schedule for the first four of six planned World Cup warmups for the Americans. ... Two-time FIFA Player of the Year Carli Lloyd rejoined NJ/NY Gotham FC as a minority owner of the NWSL club, six months after retiring from playing.

Danish teenager Holger Rune upset top-seeded Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-2 to reach the quarterfin­als of the BMW Open at Munich.
