Re “Heat pumps will fight Putin and climate change,” Opinion, May 3

Jacques Leslie’s brilliant op-ed article on heat pumps shows that Americans do not have to choose between saving our climate or saving western Europe from dependence on Russian fossil fuels. The two imperatives are not mutually exclusive.

Heat pumps, when powered by clean energy and provided to western Europe, offer a win-win solution.
