Lakers to speak to Bucks’ assistant Lee

The Lakers have received permission to interview Milwaukee Bucks assistant Charles Lee, The Times confirmed through sources.

Lee, 37, has worked with Bucks coach Mike Budenholze­r since 2014 in Atlanta.

Lee joins Darvin Ham as members of the Bucks staff the Lakers will speak to about their head coaching job.

The Lakers have also received permission to interview Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson. The team has also spoken to Toronto assistant Adrian Griffin and former head coaches Mark Jackson and Terry Stotts.

Rafael Nadal struggled with a foot injury toward the end of a 1-6, 7-5, 6-2 third-round loss to Denis Shapovalov at the Italian Open in Rome. Nadal, 35, missed a large portion of last year with a left foot injury.

Gino Cappellett­i, a former AFL most valuable player and original member of the Boston Patriots who was part of the franchise for five decades as a player, coach and broadcaste­r, died at his home in Wellesley, Mass. He was 89.
