HOLMES, Dale

March 19, 1943 - July 16, 2022

Dale Holmes, age 79, of Chatswsorth CA, passed away July 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Helen Holmes. Dale will be remembered by his loving wife Suzanne Piniarski; daughter Holly Holmes (Jeff) Lambert; mother-inlaw Jacquelyn Jolliffe; step children Danielle Piniarski (Mike Crocker), Kayla Piniarski; brother Dennis (Debra) Holmes; brothers-in-law and sistersin-law Debra (Ron) Krause, Connie Boersma, Bonnie Cobb, Butch (Dawn) Boersma, Diane Jolliffe; grandchildren Garrett Lambert, Carson Lambert, Mercedes Crocker, Najae Hamilton; caregivers Greg Boersma, Eugene Young, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Dale was born in Los Angeles, and graduated from Norwalk High School. After graduation, he joined the Army and served for four years with the Selective Services during the Vietnam war. After the military, he became a franchisee with IHOP, where he entertained customers with his magic.

Dale auditioned for The Magic Castle and was elated when he was accepted as a member. Dale left IHOP after 47 years and in 2012, Dale and Suzanne developed The Pancake Factory restaurant. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA.
