Ex- USC receiver London is injured

Atlanta Falcons rookie wide receiver Drake London probably will be held out of practice this week because of a right knee injury, but the No. 8 overall pick from USC isn’t expected to miss significan­t time.

London was injured in the Falcons’ preseason opener at Detroit, going out on the f irst series after catching a 24- yard pass.

Coach Arthur Smith said Sunday that London wasn’t likely to practice this week, including joint workouts with the New York Jets ahead of an Aug. 22 preseason game at the Meadowland­s.

New York Jets quarterbac­k Zach Wilson will have arthroscop­ic surgery on his injured right knee Tuesday in Los Angeles. ... Miami Dolphins cornerback Trill Williams tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the team’s preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, coach Mike McDaniel confirmed. ... Nick Mullens completed seven of nine passes for 94 yards and one touchdown, and the host Las Vegas Raiders beat the Minnesota Vikings 26- 20. the NBA’s Christmas Day slate. The Lakers will reportedly play at Dallas.
