Barr legacy: A Sept. 9 column on William Barr said Donald Ayer was then-Atty. Gen. Barr’s deputy at the Justice Department during the George H.W. Bush administration. The two worked together at the department then, and Ayer was deputy attorney general, but Barr was not yet attorney general.
