La Russa is not ready for dugout

Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa will watch the team’s home series against Colorado from a suite while he awaits clearance to return to the dugout.

La Russa is on the mend after he left the White Sox on Aug. 30 to deal with a heart issue. He rejoined the team in Oakland on Sunday and f lew home with the club for the two-game set against the Rockies that began Tuesday night.

There is no timetable for the Hall of Famer, 77, to return to ingame managing. Bench coach Miguel Cairo is running the team.

White Sox center fielder Luis Robert returned after missing five games because of wrist soreness.

Right-hander Justin Verlander (calf ) traveled with Houston to Detroit and took part in fielding drills. He could be activated from the injured list this week . ... Milwaukee opener Matt Bush exited with groin discomfort against St. Louis.
