Gayle Gerber (GG) was the most famous person whose name you may not know. She couldn’t go anywhere in her hometown of Los Angeles without being swarmed by students, parents of students, and parents that were once her students from her 40+ years as a beloved educator at The Center for Early Education.

Privately she was as regal as the Queen, and outwardly she made everybody who she came in contact with feel like royalty.

Gayle loved wholeheartedly. Whether it was her students, her husband of 49 years, her many dogs, her three daughters, her five grandchildren, the Ivy Gimlets, or her glasses of white wine she shared with friends who spanned decades. Gayle lived fully, loved deeply, and made everybody she touched feel incredibly special.

GG’s life is to be celebrated privately. We are sorry it must be this way, but she cast such a huge shadow we cannot possibly accommodate all of those she has touched.
