Kansas romps without Self
Jalen Wilson had 21 points and nine rebounds, Gradey Dick added 12 points, and No. 5 Kansas tuned up for the Champions Classic next week by routing perennial Summit League contender North Dakota State 82-59 on Thursday night in Lawrence, Kan.
They did so without coach Bill Self, who along with assistant Kurtis Townsend, served the second game of school-imposed four-game suspensions.
Women
at No. 4 Iowa 115, Evansville 62: Caitlin Clark had 26 points and 12 assists, Monika Czinano added 23 points and Iowa set a program record for scoring.
The Hawkeyes (2-0) had their previous best scoring game on Dec. 31, 2019, a 108-72 win over Illinois.
at No. 5 Tennessee 74, Massachusetts 65: Rickea Jackson had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Volunteers.
