A 6-7 forward known for his rebounding prowess, he started for the 1971-72 Lakers that won 33 games in a row and claimed L.A.’s first title. He joined the Lakers in 1969 and played parts of six seasons in L.A., averaging 15.2 points and 12.4 rebounds, and shooting 48.2% from the field and 78.5% from the free-throw line.
