The 6-4 forward completed a frontcourt alongside George Mikan and Vern Mikkelsen that was the best in the NBA. Pollard played on five title-winning teams, averaging 13.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists. The four-time All-Star and AllNBA player, nicknamed “Kangaroo Kid” because he could dunk from the freethrow line, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1978.
