He played parts of four seasons over a five-year span with the Lakers, sitting out the 1982-83 season because of a knee injury suffered at the start of the 1981-82 season that required two surgeries. The 6-10 forward soon moved into an executive role after his playing days, when he averaged 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds, shooting 50.3% from the field. He was a valuable reserve during the 1985 championship run.
