“Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” from Netflix is the easy favorite and hugely worthy of the award, though DisneyPixar’s “Turning Red” (directed by Domee Shi from a script by Shi and Julia Cho) is a sweet, albeit slighter, entry well worth some acclaim.
