I cannot help but remember the thinking that got us into past conflicts.
Remember when our involvement in Vietnam was meant to halt the spread of communism? In reality, that was a war waged by communist North Vietnam to unite the country.
The Iraq invasion was to halt the development of weapons of mass destruction. This proved to be based on faulty intelligence.
Thousands have been killed and trillions spent on ill-fated wars that were supposed to make the U.S. more secure. Are we going down that same road again? Glynn Morris Playa del Rey
