What film or performance had an impact on you this season?

“I have so many. First of all, I’ve seen ‘Tár’ twice. I just love watching Cate Blanchett. It’s like watching an animal in a cage or something. She’s amazing. I just saw ‘The Whale.’ I thought Brendan Fraser’s performance was incredible. Left me in pieces at the end. I don’t think I’ve been that upset after a movie since I saw ‘Manchester by the Sea.’ And then I will also mention Dolly De Leon’s performance in ‘Triangle of Sadness,’ which was so funny — and also just profound, but also just hilarious. I thought she was incredible.”
