PATRICK MAHOMES

The NFL regular-season most valuable player was 21-for-27 passing for

182 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. He rushed for 44 yards in six carries despite aggravating a high ankle sprain. Mahomes helped the Chiefs erase a 10-point halftime deficit and score on every drive in the fourth quarter, sealing Super Bowl MVP honors. He has won two Super Bowls in his first six seasons in the NFL.

TRAVIS KELCE

Kelce fired up his teammates by proclaiming that no one believed the Chiefs could win the Super Bowl. He finished with six catches for a team-high 81 yards, including a confidenceboosting 18-yard touchdown grab in the first quarter.

HARRISON BUTKER

It takes mental strength to brush off a 42-yard miss in the first quarter and hit a 27-yard, game-winning field goal.

CHIEFS’ O-LINE

Mahomes had time thanks to an offensive line up to the task of protecting a star with an injured ankle.

KADARIUS TONEY

Toney helped the Chiefs seize momentum in the fourth quarter with a 65yard punt return and a five-yard catch for a touchdown.

NICK BOLTON

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts appeared to shift the ball to avoid Bolton in the second quarter, and the Chiefs linebacker scooped up the loose ball, rumbling for a 36-yard touchdown.

JUJU SMITH-SCHUSTER

He wasn’t dominant, but the former USC standout was enough of a threat that Eagles cornerback James Bradberry confirmed he grabbed Smith-Schuster’s jersey late in the game. The penalty helped set up the Chiefs’ winning field goal.

JALEN HURTS

He didn’t win, but Hurts set several records. He threw for 304 yards and a touchdown and ran for 70 yards and three touchdowns.
