‘EVERYTHING ...’

BEST PICTURE

-

THE MOVIE that is winning everything seemingly everywhere, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (above, with Michelle Yeoh), has emerged as a surprisingly strong favorite in the BuzzMeter — it is the panel’s consensus No. 1 pick to win the Oscar for best picture. As close behind as possible is “The Banshees of Inisherin,” which all but one of our panelists have put at No. 2 in their ranked voting. Then there’s quite a drop to the closely bunched “The Fabelmans,” “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Tár.” What of “All Quiet on the Western Front,” with its nine nominations? The BuzzMeter gives it no better chance to win than it does “Women Talking.” So which will win? See the panel’s full comments and check out all their picks at latimes.com/buzzmeter, where you can also vote for your own slate in our weekly polls.
