Dalton and Heinicke on move, Ryan released

Carolina agreed to a two-year, $10-million contract with quarterbac­k Andy Dalton, the Associated Press reported, while Atlanta and quarterbac­k Taylor Heinicke agreed on a two-year contract worth up to $20 million.

The Panthers own the top pick in the draft next month and are targeting a quarterbac­k. Dalton, 35, started 14 games for New Orleans last year and threw for 18 touchdowns and nine intercepti­ons. Heinicke, 29, started 24 games for Washington the last two seasons, throwing for 32 touchdowns and 21 intercepti­ons.

Indianapol­is will release quarterbac­k Matt Ryan, the AP reported. Ryan, 37, started 12 games for Indianapol­is last season before being benched.
