Ex-Florida QB gets plea deal

Ex-Florida quarterbac­k Jalen Kitna, the son of retired NFL quarterbac­k Jon Kitna, accepted a plea deal that dismissed five felony child pornograph­y charges stemming from his arrest last November.

Kitna instead pleaded guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct, second-degree misdemeano­rs.

Eighth Judicial Circuit Judge Susan Miller-Jones put Kitna on six months’ probation for each count but did not levy a fine or require the 20-year-old to register as a sex offender.

Former Washington Commanders center Chase Roullier announced his retirement, deciding his football-playing days are over seven weeks shy of his 30th birthday because of injuries that derailed his career.

Former Giro d’Italia champion Jai Hindley seized the Tour de France’s yellow jersey after claiming the first mountain stage of this year’s race during an eventful ride in the Pyrenees. Two-time Olympic triple jumper Ana José Tima was banned for three years in a doping case, track and field’s Athletics Integrity Unit said. José Tima also was disqualifi­ed from all results since January 2022, including her 10th-place finish at the world championsh­ips last year in Eugene, Ore.
