Town attorney sought
Los Gatos is hiring a new town attorney, who will serve as the legal adviser to Los Gatos leaders.
The position became vacant at the end of last year when longstanding town attorney Robert Schultz stepped down. While town officials didn’t disclose his reason for leaving at the time, recruitment documents for the vacant position state that Schultz retired.
In addition to legal advice, the role includes contract and legislation review, as well as handling prosecution and litigation involving the town. The salary will vary based on applicants’ experience, but the outgoing town attorney made just under $250,000 per year, according to the recruitment documents.
