A choice property in San Jose could become a site for advanced manufacturing or tech uses following its purchase by a veteran real estate company.

The building is located at 5883 Rue Ferrari in south San Jose, according to documents filed on March 17 with the Santa Clara County Recorder's Office.

Peninsula Land & Capital, acting through an affiliate, paid $23.5 million for the property, the county public records show.

“This purchase is really consistent with our longtime strategy,” said Roger Fields, a principal executive with Peninsula Land & Capital. “We look for buildings with the potential for high-end manufacturing.”

The building totals 95,900 square feet and occupies a 6.1-acre site near the interchange of U.S. Highway 101 and State Route 85, according to property records and a post on Peninsula Land's website.

“The building has a great location,” Fields said.
