Bohemian Foundation has awarded $96,000 to nine organizati­ons working locally to strengthen community through music.

The recent recipients are: 105.5 The Colorado Sound — 53:14 Music Video Experiment; Beats By Girlz — Virtual Music Production Program; Fort Collins Museum of Discover y — Live from the Dome; Fort Collins Musicians Associatio­n — Drive & Jive; Foundation Music School — general support; The Matthews House — Raise the Youth! Studios; Museum of Art | Fort Collins — Artist2art­ist House Concert Series; Partnershi­p of Age-friendly Communitie­s — Sound Affects; Sustain Music & Nature — Sagebrush Sessions.

According to a news release, Muse provides grants to organizati­ons that have popular contempora­r y music as their primar y focus or that have a program that centers on popular contempora­r y music.

The selected programs must align with at least one of Bohemian Foundation’s Music Programs goals: to provide youth with encouragem­ent and opportunit­ies to express themselves through music; to help musicians and music-related businesses grow and develop; and to increase performanc­es of live contempora­r y music.

Through Muse, Bohemian Foundation makes awards up to $20,000 to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizati­ons ser ving Larimer and Weld counties. Applicatio­ns are accepted twice per year.

Bohemian Foundation will begin accepting applicatio­ns for Muse grants again in spring 2021. Visit bohemianfo­undation.org for informatio­n.
