Jeep, trailer, motorcycle stolen from driver on U.S. 85

A driver on U.S. 85 north of Greeley was duped into stopping his vehicle and was then beaten unconsciou­s, his Jeep, a trailer and a motorcycle he was hauling were stolen.

The “strong-armed” robbery happened at about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. The victim, a Weld County resident, was driving a gray 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with Colorado license plate BRE-342.

He was towing a U-haul motorcycle trailer with Virginia license plate 325-7ZP, a news release said. The motorcycle is a 2020 black Harley Davidson Softail Custom, Colorado plate DNC-422.
