Truck flips onto its top, one sent to the hospital
South Lincoln closed during investigation
Apickup truck flipped onto its top in a crash on Sunday that closed a stretch of South Lincoln Avenue during the investigation and sent one person to the hospital.
Loveland Police Sgt. Rob Pride said a pickup truck was headed nor th on Lincoln Avenue just before 10 a.m. Sunday when a car, turning onto the one-way stretch of road from Southeast Fifth Street broadsided the truck, which flipped onto its top. The driver of the car was ticketed for reckless driving, Pride said.
One person was transported to a local hospital with what Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Capt. Mark L yons described as minor injuries.
“It looked worse than it was,” L yons said of the accident.
Police did not release the names of the people involved on Sunday.
Initially, the crash closed one lane of Lincoln Avenue, but at 10:39 a.m., police closed both lanes of the oneway road as par t of the investigation.
The road reopened at 11:20 a.m., according to police.
