Mcwhinney, Mishawaka recognized with arts awards

Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA) announced 12 honorees for its 2023 Business for the Arts Awards that honor companies and individual­s for their partnershi­ps and engagement with the arts.

The honorees include Mcwhinney and Mishawaka.

According to a news release, Mcwhinney is being recognized for making arts and culture one of its brand pillars, which it brings to life at properties such as Dairy Block, Centerra in Loveland and Denver Union Station.

Mishawaka Amphitheat­re and its philanthro­pic arm, the Mish Initiative, is being recognized for “partnering with the Front Range community and beyond to expand access to live music, catalyze the careers of Colorado musicians, and shape the policy to improve the music ecosystem for Colorado,” according to the release.

The honorees will be celebrated at the Business for the Arts Awards luncheon on Tuesday, March 7, in the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for Performing Arts.

Tickets are on sale at cbca.org/event/2023-business-for-the-arts-awardslunc­heon. Livestream tickets are also available. in Wayzata, Minnesota, will open its second Fort Collins location and fourth in Colorado in late January.

The new location will be at 221 E. Mountain Ave., Suite 110, adjacent to an Elevations Credit Union office and an F45 Training fitness center.

The chain already has a restaurant at 3581 E. Harmony Road, Suite 170.

The chain’s menu features acai bowls, salads, smoothies and grain bowls.

The chain also partners with local fitness and wellness studios to offer compliment­ary classes, typically held at the restaurant.

In a news release, the company said it plans to open in more than 16 locations across the state.

Parke was appointed CEO in 2016 and “is stepping away to focus more time with his family and other investment­s,” the company said.

“We are so grateful to Jim for his service,” Curt Richardson said in a written statement. “He stepped into this critical leadership role at a time that Otter needed a focus on building back the culture we had created. Culture continues to be key to Otter’s success and Jim has laid a solid foundation for JC to build upon.”

Otter Products also promoted Liz Robinson to chief product officer and Bill Dillon to chief sales officer.
