Valentine’s Day offers reminder to celebrate love of family and friends

-

Happy Valentine’s Week! I hope you will enjoy special moments with family and friends.

I would love to show you the pictures and videos on my phone, and have you listen to the music that makes my heart beat. Doing so would reveal the meaning of love in my life.

You would see the joy in my dad’s face, singing in the same church choir for almost 50 years.

You would admire the satisfaction in my mom’s smile as she tended her prizewinning red roses.

You would hear the reverence in Zenon’s voice as he masterfully played his guitar and sang in worship to the King.

I miss these three people so much. It’s comforting to know that those we love and lose are together with us in heart and in memory.

My phone is filled with pictures of my brothers and their families, relaxing at the cabin or celebrating special occasions.

My brothers are the nicest guys I know, and together with their wives, have raised beautiful children and grandchildren.

My two greatest loves are my sons, Sam and Jon. They are as different as day and night. One is more of an extrovert, the other, an introvert. Both Sam and Jon are blessed with special gifts and qualities that I hold dear, and both brighten my life. It is a privilege and a blessing to be their mom!

I also have an amazing daughter-in-law and two precious grandsons! There’s nothing like grandchildren to put a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart.

Though I don’t have a soulmate or sweetheart, many dear friends and acquaintances complete the circle of love in my life.

A circle is a symbol of eternity. Thanks to God, we are all loved by someone special!
