The postseason accolades keep coming for Colorado State senior guard Isaiah Stevens.

A day after media members voted him to their All-mountain West first team, Stevens landed on the conference’s first team as voted on by the league coaches ahead of the conference tournament, which begins Wednesday.

A four-time honoree by the conference, it is Stevens’ first first-team selection as he was a second team member the past two seasons and the conference’s freshman of the year and a part of the third team in 2019-20.

Stevens led the league in assists (7.1 per game) and was fourth in scoring (17.8 per game), reaching double figures in all 18 MWC games. He recorded six double-doubles in conference play, five of which were of the points-assists variety.

In the regular season finale, he broke the school’s record for assists with 13 while scoring 17 points for his sixth double-double in conference play. His season-high in scoring also came in conference play when he dropped 33 points in an overtime victory at UNLV in January.

Former CSU and current San Jose State head coach Tim Miles was named the Steve Fisher Coach of the Year, while Spartan senior guard Omari Moore was selected as the player of the year.

San Diego State’s Nathan Mensah was voted as the defensive player of the year and Nevada senior guard Jarod Lucas was chosen as newcomer of the year. Utah State forward Dan Akin was voted the sixth man of the year, while Nevada forward Darrion Williams was recognized as the freshman of the year.

Stevens was the only CSU player to earn postseason recognition by the conference, which selected three teams, a defensive team and two honorable mention selections.

The Rams enter the Mountain West tournament as the No. 8 seed and will take on No. 9 seed Fresno State on Wednesday at noon MT at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
