Per Avclub.com, some interestin­g facts about this years awards includes:

For the first time since 1935, the show’s Best Actor category is made up entirely of first-time nominees

It’s also the first time since 1977 that two films have earned four acting nomination­s

John Williams, composer for “The Fabelmans,” is the oldest Academy Award nominee to date at 90. Williams has been nominated for an Oscar for his work 53 times.

Steven Spielberg holds the record as the first and only director to be nominated for an Academy Award in six different decades.

This year is the first time that every best director nominee is also nominated for a best screenplay honor.

The 2023 awards ceremony is the first time that

non-americans have dominated the acting categories, with 11 of the 20 contenders coming from outside the U.S.
