Stanley Hotel voted 9th most beloved building in America
The Stanley Hotel, Estes Park’s most famous building, has been voted ninth in the top 10 most beloved buildings in America. This ranking was compiled by Uk-based building materials company Buildworld using artificial intelligence(ai), so it wasn’t directly voted on by people. Instead, the company analyzed praise for buildings on Twitter to see what the architecturally savvy public has to say about different buildings.
The building is perhaps most beloved for retaining its oldschool, Colonial Revival-style architecture, and while it is the only one of two buildings (the other being Coit Tower in San Francisco) in the ranking not located on the East Coast, the style of architecture certainly puts it among the same family as many East Coast buildings. There was certainly a bias toward New York City, with six of the 10 buildings found in the The City That Never Sleeps.
