Seventh-day Adventist Church offers ‘Unshackled’ sermon series

-

The sermon series “Unshackled,” with seven different presenters, will continue until Aug. 5 at the Campion Seventh-day Adventist Church. According to Pastor Leandro Bizama, the main speaker, the title comes from the early Christian church’s story found in Acts 9-28.

On June 10, teenagers Caleb and Addison Gann presented the sermon in first-person dramatic format. On July 8, Pastor Rodlie Otiz will present the sermon based on Acts 18 and 19. On July 22, the dramatic format will be presented by Dick Stenbakken, who has portrayed 70-80 biblical characters.

In each presentation, audiences will see how God used one person to change the world. Bizama, Pastor Eric Nelson and Eddie Schwisow will present the other characters and chapters in the book of Acts. The congregation is invited to study the portion of Acts that will be featured the following Sabbath at home each week.

“When you read the book of Acts carefully, you will notice that the church was comfortably growing in Jerusalem. But the Judea, Samaria and the rest of the planet part of Christ’s command was not really taking place. That is, until Paul came along and unshackled them from their previous prejudices and beliefs,” Bizama said. “Never underestimate how God can use even persecution and antagonism to further the cause of the gospel. And, never underestimate how God can use one person; yes, even you and me.”

The services will all be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturdays at Campion Church, 300 42nd St., SW Loveland. At 9:30 a.m., a variety of Bible study classes meet each week for all ages.

All are welcome to attend. For more information, call 970-667-7403.
