Larimer County tax deadline approaching

ERIC HOFFMAN >> Mine just came in the mail last week. I can’t afford these bloated increases until the state gives me my return. Will that be by Thursday?

Loveland food tax shortfall projected to top $13 million

JUSTIN KING >> My property tax went up 15% for just Loveland alone. They are not losing much if any money. Isn’t there something like 35,000 homes in Loveland? You’re getting your money … enough of the BS!

RAE ANN M. GARRETT >> Oh please…. enough with the drama.

KEVIN COX >> Keep in mind $13 million is what was received last year so 2024 would be a larger amount. I don’t think people are against the removal of the food tax. It was just a how they removed it without replacing the revenue first. It’s like quitting your job before finding another one knowing bills are still coming in.

White Paper BBQ moving to new downtown Loveland location

LINDA ROSA >> The city still taxes food sold from food trucks, which is not what Lovelanders believed they were voting for.

MEALS ON WHEELS OF LOVELAND & BERTHOUD, INC. >> We love White Paper! They will be back at Meals on 4th again this summer, and we can’t wait!

JOYCE O’DONNELL >> We will miss you on the west side.

AMANDA MARIE >> Good food! Thanks.

JAN SPRINGER >> We are excited for the downtown location!

ANDREA SAMSON >> How cool!! Can’t wait!!!

NICOLE AMBER >> This place is our favorite BBQ place. Awesome gluten free options too!

Loveland, Berthoud law enforcement calls: Drug possession, driving-related arrests

LYNN REYNOLDS ST JOHN >> Nice to finally see some ‘driving related arrests’, it’s a madhouse out there.

Loveland Museum unveils new expansion plans

BRUCE R BOWMAN >> $13,000,000 deficit? I expect that a facility that very few citizens use needs to stay on the back burner. JOSHUA MOORE >> How exciting! I love our museum, it’s always fascinating to take a walk through and get a glimpse of Loveland’s roots.

MATT LONGSTRETH >> Loveland has a museum? Whoa. I never knew! Lol

Loveland City Council to consider Garcia’s separation agreement

LYNN REYNOLDS ST JOHN >> More extortion… DEB DZ >> It seems incompetence pays well in Loveland.

Loveland City Council accepts resignations from two direct reports

KEVIN COX >> Loveland council is an embarrassment.

LINDA ROSA >> The City Attorney has passed down some pretty dubious legal opinions, including saying it’s okay for an enterprise to pass an ordinance.

Loveland mayor, officials celebrate opening of St. Valentine Apartments

ELIZABETH HUGHES >> Congratulations. I hope this facility and its beneficiaries achieve sustainability. Sending respect and best wishes from Northern Virginia. KC CLEMENS >> Cool.

Visitation at Rocky Mountain National Park slips again

ALISON SCHROERS >> The “reservation” system is ridiculous. It was always kind of nice to be able to go up into the park on a whim and not having to plan it.

PATTY WORDEN >> Who wants to have to make a reservation? You come to Colorado to sight-see and find out you now need a reservation at some unknown time in the future which could very well be after you need to leave!

JOHN RIOTT >> Can still do all but Bear Lake if you go before 9 (a.m.).

JONATHAN COCEK >> Because hardly anyone can hike without getting to the mountain by 5 a.m. Anything after that time during the summer and you wait in a long line to get in. Need to change the “shuttling people into the park experience”. Its still a cluster… figure it out!
