LOVELAND Disney on Ice

Disney On Ice will bring “Mickey’s Search Party” to Loveland for shows April 4-7 at the Blue Arena at The Ranch.

Times are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, April 4-5, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6, and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7.

In the show, Mickey Mouse and pals follow Captain Hook’s treasure map for clues to find Tinker Bell after he attempts to capture her magic. They encounter characters such as Miguel from Disney Pixar’s “Coco” in the Land of the Dead; the wintry world of Arendelle where video projection creates a kaleidosco­pe of crystals to help Elsa build her ice palace; Belle is lifted into the sky as the enchanted chandelier comes to life high over the ice; and they see the power of teamwork when Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie recruit the Green Army Men for a daring rescue in Andy’s room.

Tickets are $25-$125 and will be available online at Treventsco­mplex. com and at the box office at Blue Arena.

‘Live in Loveland’

Tapedeck Media and the Big Laugh LLC will film a comedy special called, “Live in Loveland” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Black and Blues Music and Brews, 423 N. Cleveland Ave.

Performers include Luke Gaston, a regular at the Comedy Fort in Fort Collins and a featured performer at the High Plains Comedy Festival; Cam Kiernan, who appeared on Amazon Prime and was a featured performer at the Knockouts Women’s Comedy Festival; Thomas Nichols, who was a finalist at the Seattle Internatio­nal Comedy Competitio­n and the author of the comic books, “Just Us Cops” and “T-horror”; Mandy Kay, a featured performer at the High Plains Comedy Festival and a semi-finalist in the Funniest Person In Austin contest at Cap City Comedy; Dan Bublitz Jr., who has appeared on “Dry Bar Comedy” and Amazon Prime; Sam Sisson, a featured performer at SF Sketchfest and who appeared in the film “Mantid”; and Zack Lyman from Zen Comedy and the Big Laugh.

The filming is open to the public. Seating is limited, and tickets can be purchased at danbublitz. com/tickets for $15.

Diet vs. Lifestyle

Deanna O’connell, Uchealth registered dietitian and mindfulnes­s practition­er, will offer a class on Diet vs. Lifestyle at 2-3 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Loveland Public Library, 300 N. Adams Ave.

Learn the science behind the latest diet fads and how diet and lifestyle can impact your health, as well as pros and cons of popular diets and how to evaluate your best choice for your health.

Nature Talk

Wildlife Window columnist Kevin Cook will present a nature talk at 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Loveland Public Library, 300 N. Adams Ave.

In 2024, Cook is focusing on “How Life Lives” with a program on the first Wednesday each month.

“Commensali­sm: One Way of Living Together” is the theme for April.

BERTHOUD Warblers Talk

A program on Warblers of Boulder County will be presented at 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the meeting of the Foothills Audubon Society at the Berthoud Community Library, 236 Welch Ave.

Local avian ecologist Scott Severs will discuss local warblers, their songs, habitats and ecological status in Boulder County.

He works in the Ecosystem Management division of the city of Longmont, where he works to advance the long-term conservati­on of the city’s wildlife population­s.

Admission is free. Refreshmen­ts will follow the program.

FORT COLLINS Science Showcase

An opening reception for the Poudre School District Science Showcase will take place at 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Foothills Mall, 215 Foothills Parkway.

Student scientists in the district will show off their knowledge and their prize Science Fair projects through May 10.
