Out with the old: Donation bin available at Dollar General
To help those in need, donations of clothing and shoes can be dropped off in the parking lot at the Dollar General Store located at 7316 US 270 near Rockport.
The bin has been available for donations since the store was built. These bins are serviced in the district areas at Dollar General Stores in Benton, Bryant and Glen Rose.
Anyone can donate. These donation bins are a part of the ATRS Donation Bins in neighborhoods across the United States.
American Textile Recycling Service is the fastest growing donation bin operator in the USA. The company provides donation and collection solutions for gently used, unwanted clothing, shoes, toys and household items.
They make donating the public textiles easy and convenient, according to the organization.
The company has noted, "You’ll find our professionally maintained donation bins at shopping centers, major malls, local groceries, convenience and drug store parking lots. Hosting a bin is not only good for business, it is good for the neighborhood."
Also, they believe donating should be accessible where everyone lives, works and plays.
The company also emphasizes by cleaning out closets and dropping off items that no longer need, people are giving unwanted items a second life while helping those in need and keeping reusable resources out of municipal landfills.
ATRS is expanding to more cities every day and serving communities as the nation’s fastest growing donation bin operator. "We're committed to
keeping textiles out of landfills, improving diversion rates in our communities and creating sustainable solutions where we live, work and play,” the company notes.
They are active participants, sponsors and volunteers at community events, making it easy and convenient to donate year round.
A sign of warning is displayed on the bin. All donated items must be placed within the designated container. In accordance with Arkansas Code Title 8, to leave items outside of the container constitutes illegal dumping. It is also noted, violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
