Come Lord Jesus
I recently read an article printed in the December 4, 2019 issue of “Fortune” magazine entitled, ‘ Just How Regulated Are Our Nation’s Elections?’
The information disclosed in the article answers that question with a resounding, “US election results are absolutely insecure.”
Anyone whose seen the video named ‘ Absolute Proof’’ on the website “michaeljlindell.com” knows more about election fraud than he can stomach.
In the years 2020 and 2021, Americans were subjected not only to this election fraud, but to the whole Democrat- versus- Republican War.
While our congressmen and senators were busy fighting one another, waves of the COVID- 19 virus put businesses out of business, closed theater doors, and cancelled our travel plans and church meetings. We’ve faced hour- long lines with our stomachs growling, waiting to be seated at restaurants. Family reunions have been postponed.
Thanksgiving and Christmas weren’t the same last year.
There have been way too many riotous demonstrations. We’ve been subjected to too many halftruths from “fake news” reporters.
I’ve always heard, “Things change: get used to it.”
It seems to me that if things have to change, can’t some of those changes be for the better?
With so many different brands of computers, can’t someone build a reliable voting machine?
Can’t someone in Silicon Valley program a tamper- proof app to tabulate election results?
Can’t COVID- 19 be stopped? And if tax- paid abortions can be outlawed in Arkansas, can’t other states take action against “hands that shed innocent blood” ( Proverbs 6: 16- 17)? Can’t our senators and congressmen who claim to be Christians read the Bible, and “Hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments” ( Deuteronomy 28: 1)? If they would, then God would surely keep his promise to protect us from some of the curses which our nation has brought upon herself.
Then maybe things would get back to normal around here.
Or will things get better? “In the last days perilous times shall come” ( 2 Timothy 3: 1).
“Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences” ( Luke 21: 10- 11).
If everything gets better merely by the action of men, then God will have postponed Jesus Christ’s return to earth until a later time.
As Bible prophets foretell, “The Son of man [ will come] with the clouds of heaven, and [ come] to the Ancient of days.
... And there [ will be] given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed” ( Daniel 7: 13- 14).
“For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet” ( 1 Corinthians 15: 25).
That’s the silver lining that shines through the dark clouds around us. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
... Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” ( Luke 21: 28,36).
So we with hope say, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus” ( Revelation 22: 20).
