City Council to meet Monday

The Malvern City Council will have its regular monthly finance/agenda meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. via teleconference through the Teamup Microsoft web app online.

The public can also find the online link for the meeting by going to the city of Malvern website at www. malvernar.gov or Facebook page.

During the council’s monthly meeting in February, the council approved an item of new business that included one resolution. The council agreed to accept and adopt a resolution authorizing a fire truck lease.

For other items of new business the council heard the first reading of an ordinance abolishing planning commission and an ordinance reestablishing the planning commission. Both ordinances were introduced by the council and read by City Attorney Cecilia Ashcraft. The council will vote about placing the second readings for both ordinances during the upcoming agenda/finance meeting in March.

Until further notice, council meetings will be held via teleconference due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Malvern City Council meets every first and second Monday of each month. Hutchinson of social distancing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
