Make a Wish Tournament at MCC

The 2nd Annual Central Arkansas Make- aWish Golf Tournament was played yesterday at the Malvern Country Club. Around forty teams played in the tournnamen­t, which began at 8 a. m.

There were several different options for sponsorshi­ps in the tournament. The lowest was $ 250 for a hole sponsorshi­p.

Next up was a team entry, which included a four member team with a golf cart and lunch, for $ 500. A corporate team sponsor cost $ 1,000 which includ

ed a four member team, a golf cart, hole sponsorshi­p, name printed on all material, recognitio­n at the event, lunch, and a commemorat­ive Make- A- Wish piece.

The highest available sponsorshi­p was the presenting sponsorshi­p for $ 5,000. This included two four member teams, golf carts, four hole sponsorshi­ps, names and logos printed on all materials, special recognitio­n, and a Make- A- Wish commemorat­ive piece.

In addition to the main competitio­n, there were also prizes for closest to the pin on all par 3’s, and longest drive contests.

The Make- A- Wish tournament was put on because with Make- A- Wish, “together, we create life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.” According to Make- AWish, “today, 396 kids are waiting for a wish.”
