Robert Lynn “Bob” Cansler, age 86, of New Deroche Community passed away January 11, 2022. He was born June 25, 1935, in Oklahoma, to Jack and Minnie Henson Cansler. Bob was a member of Saginaw Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Reynolds Metals. Bob loved to play music, he farmed and loved to coon hunt. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Cansler; siblings, Barbara Prince, Larry Cansler, Kenny Cansler and Gary Cansler; grandchild­ren, Josh Dyess, Krista Ritter and Crystal Cansler.

Survivors include his children Alan ( Mary) Cansler of Friendship, Michael ( Pam) Cansler of Friendship, Diane ( Kiah) Gardner of Russellvil­le, Sheri ( Darren) Parish of Midway; brother, Jackie Cansler of New Deroche; sister, Pat Marbury of Texarkana; step- children, Kathy ( Danny) Bowen and Steve Dyess; grandchild­ren, Misty Dahlke, Amber ( Mark) Nutt, Blake ( Courtney) Cansler, Adam ( Shelley) Ritter, Holly ( Wes) Taylor, Brooke Parish, Jenna ( Cory) Key, Jennifer Cox, Kiah Henry Gardener and Leah Gardner; numerous grandchild­ren and 1 great- great grandchild.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 16 at 2: 00pm at Regency Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from

12: 30- 2: 00 prior to service. Bro. Alan Cansler and Bro. Jarrod Cansler will officiate service. Burial will follow at Prairie Bayou Cemetery. Pallbearer­s will be David Cansler, Gary Boles, Blake Cansler, Adam Ritter, Blake Riggan and Steve Ritter. Honorary pallbearer­s are the Men and Deacons of Saginaw Missionary Baptist Church and his extended family at The Place Restaurant.
