Malvern/hsc Library hosting bookmark design challenge

Tina Bell, library services manager for the Malvern/ HSC Library, recently announced the library is promoting a special “Bookmark Design Challenge” for youth ages prekindergarten through fifth grade as part of their 2022 Summer Reading Program: “Oceans of Possibilities”.

Children in the prekindergarten category have the opportunity to compete by coloring in a scene located on the official entry form. Children in grades kindergarten- fifth will compete by drawing a bookmark scene in a blank space located on a separate entry form.

Either entry form can be picked up at the library or printed directly from their website at https:// www. hsclibrary. arkansas. gov/.

Children who draw their entry must use original artwork in pencil, pen, crayon, colored pencils or markers. The library will pick three winning designs that they think best reflect the contest’s theme to be the featured bookmarks for summer.

Entries must be submitted by Friday, May 6 at 5 p. m. for consideration.
