Jr. Lions place third, Jr. Lady Lions finish sixth at district meet

PRESCOTT — The Bismarck Jr. Lions and Jr. Lady Lions track and field teams competed in the 3A-7 Jr. High Conference meet hosted at Cummins Stadium in Prescott. The Jr. Lady Lions placed sixth with 18 points while the Jr. Lions placed third overall and earned 76.50 points while competing in field and running events at the conference meet. The host school Prescott Curley Cubs captured the boys conference title with 225.50 points and Ashdown finished runner-up.

In the girls meet competitio­n, Ashdown placed first to capture the conference title with 218.50 points—prescott was runner-up with 181.

In the 100 meter dash— Rylie Allsup finished with a time of 15.24, Cailsey Ellenwood finished with a time of 15.69

In the 200 meter dash— Rylie Allsup finished with a time of 33.08, and Shirley Ballard finished with a time of 38.23

In the 400 meter dash—

Cailsey Ellenwood finished with a time of 75.18

In the 800 meter run— Lili Leon

finished with a time of 3:12.93, Meadow Clements finished with a time of 3:13.17

In the 1600 meter run—

Meadow Clements placed fifth with a time of 6:44.44, Lili Leon finished with a time of 6:57.32

In the 100 meter hurdles— Adelene Wood finished with a time of 20.75

In the 4x100 meter relay—

Kylee Hughes, Adelene Wood, Cailsey Ellenwood, and Rylie Allsup placed fourth with a time of 60.65

In the 4x200 meter relay—

Shirley Ballard, Kylee Hughes, Adelene Wood, and Rylie Allsup placed fourth with a time of 2:17.41

In the 4x400 meter relay—

Lili Leon, Adelene Wood, Cailsey Ellenwood, and Meadow Clements placed fifth with a time of 5:11.58
