Wild Wines Saturday event moves venues threat of wind, rain dampens location but not the fun

LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock Zoo and the Arkansas Zoological Foundation announced today that the Saturday night “Mane” event of Wild Wines has been moved to the Grant Still Ballroom of Robinson Auditorium. The potential threat of wind and rain tomorrow creates safety challenges for the setup of the annual event so event organizers made the decision to switch to an indoor venue.

Animal ambassadors will greet guests as they walk into the event and the event will still offer the same great wine from O’looney’s Wine and Liquor as well as great food bites from area restaurants. Tonight’s VIP wine event will still take place at the Zoo and is sold out.

“We’re excited to host Wild Wines at one of the most amazing locations in Little Rock with one of the best views overlooking the Arkansas River,” said Zoo Director Susan Altrui. “Wild Wines is all about the great food, great wine and great entertainment that guests have known to love over the years and that tradition will continue despite the challenge from the weather.”

Tickets for the Saturday night event are still available online for a limited time at Littlerockzoo.com.

Proceeds from Wild Wines benefit the Arkansas Zoological Foundation for the Little Rock Zoo. Proceeds from past events have helped build new zoo habitats and support conservation education programs.
