Edwards signs NLI at WBU
POYEN — Poyen Lady Indian standout golfer Cheyenne Edwards signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf and join the Williams Baptist University collegiate athletic program. Edwards was joined by Poyen head golf coach Blue Kesterson with assistant coach Jansen Hardge along with her parents and family members Friday to share this proud day and moment at the Jerry and Ouida Newton Arena in Poyen.
Edwards has been a member of the Poyen golf team since her sophomore season. Throughout her high school golf career at Poyen, she is a part of back-to-back district tournament championship teams that the Lady Indians golf team has achieved.
Edwards noted that this is a proud moment in her life. She is very excited to continue a collegiate golf career and loved being a part of Poyen’s golf and athletic program.
She is thankful for all of the coaches and her dad.
Edwards is the daughter of Dusty Edwards and Victoria Cox.
