Marilyn Ann Weeks Freer, age 74 of Malvern died Monday, May 2, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born March 1, 1948 in Warren, Arkansas. Marilyn was a devout

Christian and taught children’s Sunday school for many years. She loved bible study, cooking, and spending time with her family. Her grandchild­ren were the light of her life. Marilyn retired from First Step in Fordyce where she worked as an Early Childhood Developmen­t Specialist.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Weeks and Joyce Brown Weeks; one son, James Craig Freer; and one sister, Barbara Stedman. She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Sonny” Freer of Malvern; one son, Mark ( Stephenie) Freer of Malvern; two daughters, Lisa ( Lee) Kuykendall of Malvern, Charlotte ( Michael) Thomas of Jasper; two brothers, Larry Weeks of Thornton, Randy ( Mary Ann) Weeks of Sheridan; one sister, Karen ( Greg) Dust of Fordyce; seven grandchild­ren, Sunni ( Jacob) Costello of Conway, Tyler ( Sarah) Strother of Malvern, Bryce Freer of Malvern, Parker Freer of Malvern, Maggie Thomas of Jasper, Aaron Thomas of Jasper, Kiauna ( Jared) Curtis of Jasper; four great grandchild­ren, Hayes Costello, Caroline Costello, Adelaide Costello of Conway, and Adeline Jones of Malvern.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Visitation will be Thursday 6: 00 pm until 8: 00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
