Kid’s Craft: Trinket Holder for Mom 3:30 pm

Use air dry clay to make Mom a trinket holder for jewelry and other small items. Registrati­on is required and opens on April 21st.

Friday, May 6th

Prek Craft: Hand Print Wall Hanging 3:30 pm

We will make an adorable wall-hanging using your child’s handprint. Registrati­on opens April 22nd.

Bookmark Design Challenge 5 pm

Today is the deadline to turn in your design for our Summer Reading Program bookmarks. Pick up a form at the front desk or print from our website. Winners will be announced May 11th.

Saturday, May 7th

Free Comic Book Day 9 am to 1 pm

We will have free comic books and other material for our children and teens. Be sure to stop by early for the best selection.

Monday, May 9th

Story Hour: Tweet Tweet! Springtime Birds – 10:30 am

Join Ms. Amy in the community room for stories, crafts, and fun. Register online or give us a call at 501332-5441. This will be the last story hour for this session. We will resume story hour in June as a part of our Summer Reading Program.

Tuesday, May 10th

Teen Craft: Clipboard Photo Stand 4 pm

We will use a cutting board, ribbon, and other decoration­s to make a photo stand. Registrati­on opens on April 26th.

Senior Pictures 5 to 7 pm Please call the library to reserve your 15-minute time slot. We ask that this opportunit­y be limited to high school seniors. You will receive digital images that you can have printed.

College Prep Workshop– Financial Literacy 5:30 pm to 7 pm

The University of Arkansas College Access Initiative Team will be presenting a workshop that teaches students how to make wise financial decisions to promote financial well-being over their lifetime. They will also have general college and financial aid informatio­n available.

Tuesday, May 17th

Adult Craft Series: Decorative Bathtub 2 pm and 5:30pm

This month we will use a tin container, chess pieces and paint to make an adorable miniature bathtub perfect to display in your bathroom. All supplies are included. Registrati­on is required and opens on May 3rd.

Thursday, May 19th

Local Author Book Signing 5:30 pm to 7 pm

If you are a local author, we would love for you to participat­e. Please call the library to reserve a table. If you are not a local author, please take this opportunit­y to meet the authors and purchase their work.

Friday, May 20th

Cooking with the Library Chef: Pretzel Flowers

The Library Chef will be making a cute treat using pretzels, candy, and chocolate. Registrati­on opens on May 6th. Supplies will be picked up and the activity completed at home. An instructio­nal video will be provided through Facebook.
