Kennith Hardy

-

On the morning of May 27, 2022, surrounded by his family, our Savior Jesus reached out his hand and softly called Kennith back to the arms of Jesus and back with the love of his life. He started working when he was just a child picking cotton. He also spent time working at AMF Bicycle, where he was a member of the UAW UNION and served as secretary and union steward. He was a selfless man and the hardest working person you could ever know, at times working 2-3 jobs to support his family. Having many jobs, his favorite was babysitting his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the best Daddy, Pop, and Pawpaw. He enjoyed bicycles his whole life and would often build them from spare parts. If you live around here, you have probably seen him on his bike. He rode everyday (weather permitting) well into his 80’s. He also enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Andy’s. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He loved going to church when he could, and he especially loved the pot lucks they had.

Kennith was born to Elmer and Ethel Bratton Hardy on November 26th, 1931 in Delaware, Arkansas. On December 23rd, 1949 he married the love of his life, Joy Daniel Hardy. They were just babies with her being 16 and him being 18. They enjoyed 67 years together until Joy passed away on May 30, 2017. Kennith was quoted many times saying he’d had her a long time, but it wasn’t long enough. At 90, that’s how we feel about him. He was our hero in every way. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepdad, James Almond, his beautiful wife, sisters Earnestine Hardy Wade, Floy Jean Hardy Mason.

He’s survived by his daughter Brenda Dean Hardy Bradley (Mark), two sons Rusty Hardy (Amanda) Darrin Hardy (Julie), brother-in-law Donnie Daniel, sister-in-law’s Shirley Daniel , Linda Daniel, and Audrey Daniel Brenton. Special niece and nephew Kenneth Daniel (Suzanne), patrica Circle. Grandchildren, Jef Bradley (Heather), Lenzy Joy Bradley Brunet (Anthony), Summer Hardy, Hollie Beth Roseberry (Justin) , Claire Hardy Jackson (Tyler), Ashley Floyd. Great grandchildren, Sarah Beth Worthington, Alex Garner, Kenleigh Joy Garner, Ava Hope Brunet, Brendal Faith Brunet, Elijah Harper Williams, Gillian Bradley, Isabella Roseberry, Brady Roseberry, Jordie Beth Jackson (Jodie as pawpaw called her) and bonus great grand Gabe Arivette. Along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31st from 6:00-8:00 pm at Regency Funeral Home, 1839 Pine Bluff Street, Malvern. His service will be officiated by Brother Tim Carpenter Wednesday, June 1st, at 11:00 with a short visitation prior to the service from 10-11 at Trinity Baptist Church, 1420 Sulpher Springs Road, Malvern.
