UAMS Dental Hygiene Program Offers Free Sealant Clinic for Children on Feb. 18

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Department of Dental Hygiene is offering a free Sealant Clinic from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 18 at Freeway Medical Tower, 5800 W. 10th St., Suite 501.

The clinic is for children 5-17 years old. A free dental examinatio­n is a part of each one-hour sealant appointmen­t. Dental sealants are not fillings, but they help to prevent tooth decay. The number of appointmen­ts is limited. To make an appointmen­t, call 501-686-5733.

The Department of Dental Hygiene is part of the UAMS College of Health Profession­s, which is the most comprehens­ive allied health college in Arkansas with 16 programs.
