BHS tracksters place at Prescott Wolf Relays

Kelssi Davis wins 1600 meter run

PRESCOTT — Several tracksters from the Bismarck Lions and Lady Lions senior high track and field teams finished with top honors to place during a meet competition hosted at Cummins Stadium in the Prescott Wolf Relays in Prescott.

Lady Lion trackster Kelssi Davis won the 1600 meter run, and then placed second in the 3200 meter run while representing the Bismarck track and field team. A host of Lion tracksters placed in a variety of field and running events during the senior high Wolf Relays in Prescott.

The following are results of Bismarck tracksters that competed in the Prescott Wolf Relays.

SR. LADY LIONS TRACK RESULTS

In the 800 meter run— Kelssi Davis placed fourth with a time of 3:13.61; In the 1600 meter run—davis placed first with a winning time of 6:55.85; and in the 3200 meter run—davis placed second with a time of 17:14.88.

SR. HIGH LIONS TRACK RESULTS

In the 100 meter dash—joseph Roberson placed eighth with a time of 12.18, and Tony Weeks finished 11th with a time of 12.51.

In the 200 meter dash—joseph Roberson placed fourth with a time of 25.31, and Jackson Overturf finished 12th with a time of 27.67.

In the 400 meter dash— Ben Keithley placed fourth with a time of 57.78.

In the 800 meter run— Joseph Porter placed third with a time of 2:25.89, and Gabe Digiacomo placed fourth with a time of 2:26.35.

In the 1600 meter run—joseph Porter placed third with a time of 5:29.43, and Gabe Digiacomo placed fifth with a time of 5:50.24.

In the 110 meter hurdles— Colin Jones placed eighth with a time of 21.10.

In the 300 meter hurdles— Colin Jones placed eighth with a time of 55.34.

In the 4x100 meter relay— Bismarck Lions relay team placed fourth with a time of 47.77.

In the 4x200 meter relay— Bismarck Lions relay team placed third with a time of 1:40.53.

In the 4x400 meter relay— Bismarck Lions relay team placed fifth with a time of 4:08.56.

In the Long Jump—joseph Roberson finished ninth with a jump of 16-4, and Tony Weeks finished 11th with a jump of 14-7.

In the Pole Vault—johnny Diaz placed third with a jump of 9-0.

In the Discus Throw— Will Anderson finished 11th with a throw of 71-9, and Ben Keithley finished 12th with a throw of 65-4.

In the Shot Put—ben Keithley placed sixth with a throw of 35-4, and Will Anderson finished 11th with a throw of 22-4.

After spring break, Thursday March 30, the Lions and Lady Lions track and field teams are scheduled to compete in the 2023 Merchant Relays hosted at Cummins Stadium in Prescott.
