Ashlyn “AJ” Fike powered a three-run homer run, and then ignited an infield— park homer to collect two hits with a triple and scored two and drove in five runs for five RBIS to display some stout offense for Malvern. Freshman Alexis Jenkins sparked at the dish and had two key hits with a double and drove in two runs for two RBIS. Emily Minge scored two runs and had a hit, while Isabella Roseberry powered a hit in the frame and had two RBIS with a double. Freshman Kendall Watson sparked for a hit and scored a run to propel the offense for Malvern.
In the circle, the pitching duo of Katelyn Minge and Watson kept the strike zone intact against the Lady Warriors. Katelyn Minge earned the victory and pitched six innings, allowed 10 hits, eight runs, walked three and struck out nine batters and threw 78 strikes from 125 total pitches. Watson pitched an inning, allowed three hits, two runs and struck out one batter and threw 18 strikes from 32 total pitches.

ing from Fike that sparked for a double as the Lady Blackhawks tallied four runs on four hits in a low scoring affair in their second round bout in state tournament play.
Malvern held the Lady Blackhawks scoreless in the second, third, fifth and sixth innings. Katelyn Minge and Watson shared the action in the circle to provide some heat against the Lady Blackhawks at the plate. Katelyn Minge pitched three and one-thirds innings, allowed four hits, four runs and struck out three batters and threw 36 strikes—watson pitched two and two-thirds innings and gave up no hits, no runs and struck out one batter and threw 20 strikes across the dish.
