And don’t forget about the library’s endless amount of reading material, available both in hard copy and through their digital services, and their extra-special amenities, like the “Library of Things”.

Libraries have long offered more than just books for years and years. Now in 2024, Visitors can often find movies, music, or even mobile internet.

Recently, libraries across the nation have created entire collections of unconventional items called – Library of Things.

This collection provides many unique offerings. Among them are games to teach kids how to code, a microscope, or a sensory kit.

The collection includes plenty of non-scientific fun too, including outdoor games, Gopro Camera, or a karaoke machine. For kitchen connoisseurs, the offerings include an instapot, air fryer, or an ice cream maker. All these items are available to check out for free with your library card.

Need something for a onetime project or want to try it before you buy? The collection includes power and gardening tools and so much more! Explore the collection and discover your next new thing to borrow!

Check out their items—and if you’re looking for something they don’t offer yet, just recommend it, and they will try their best to add your requested item to their inventory. Call the library at 501-3325441 for more information.

And if that wasn’t cool enough, did you know that you can get engaged at the library? Library staff will help you even pull off a surprise proposal!

Earlier last month, a young gentleman reached out to a library staff member to see if he could surprise his girlfriend with a proposal inside one of her favorite places…… THE LIBRARY!

Everyone at the library quickly pitched in to help him out, and staff members stayed at work later than normal to make this event special for them.

Library staff said the proposal was amazing, and the future bride looked speechless, surprised and so very happy. Congratulations again to the happy couple!
