Lady Panthers keep PPRD effort going in tough road contests

MAGNET COVE — The Magnet Cove Lady Panthers kept their focus and tough efforts in competitiv­e play on the hardwood in recent encounters on the court in road action during their 5-2A Conference match-ups in senior high girls basketball competitio­n. Despite falling short of victory, the Lady Panthers maintained productive execution to compete throughout their 32 minute outings on the road. While concluding their league season match-ups, the Lady Panthers fell to Conway Christian 61-30 and Bigelow 61-27.

Lady Panthers’ Brianna Ramthun led scoring in double-figures with 10 points against Conway Christian. Ramthun also drilled a triple from beyond the arc. Bailey Martin added six points, Marleigh Mccutcheon and Hadley Herrington each contribute­d five points apiece. Mccutcheon also nailed a triple from beyond the arc against Conway Christian. Maddie Fulmer and Bella Harville both sank a bucket apiece to finish with two points from the field.

During Magnet Cove’s encounter against Bigelow, Lady Panther hoopster Mccutcheon led the way with 13 points and knocked down two triples from downtown to post in double-figures.

Braelyn Mcentire followed with eight points and swished two triples beyond the 3-point arc to produce some valuable outside shooting. The core of Martin, Fulmer and Ramthun each chipped in two points apiece sparking the team’s production against Bigelow. Tonight, it’s senior night in Panther country and the Lady Panthers will be fired up and ready to ignite a big outing in their final home game of the season hosting the Mountain Pine Lady Red Devils to conclude their league season match-up.

The Lady Panther seniors’ [Marleigh] Mccutcheon, [Bella] Harville, [Hadley] Herrington, [Maddie] Fulmer, Brailyn Koller, and Salina Potts are the featured senior hoopster honorees to be recognized for their final performanc­e on the hardwood at Magnet Cove High School Gymnasium.
